According to The New York Times, “Kristen,” the hooker who led to New York Governor Eliot Spitzer’s downfall after a February 13 tryst at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC, has been identified as Ashley Alexandra Dupré. She’s 22…only five years older than Spitzer’s eldest daughter, Elyssa, 17. This picture, on her MySpace page, is captioned: “me passed out…i do that often. 2007” She’s a kid!

Ms. Dupré grew up in Belmar, NJ as Ashley R. Youmans but legally changed her name in 2006, according to Monmouth County [NJ] Superior Court records, to Ashley Rae Maika DiPietro. DiPietro is her stepfather’s surname. On her MySpace page, she uses the name Nina Venetta. She claims her friends are Whitney Houston, Madonna, Mary J. Blige, Amy Winehouse and Celine Dion. Uh-huh. The drama queen wannabe singer describes running away from an abusive home at age 17, being broke and homeless, etc. She was logged in at MySpace today and her current comment says: “What destroys me, strengthens me.” No, Ashley, if you’re destroyed, you’re dead. You’ve got that quote confused, too. It’s “What does not kill me, makes me stronger.” Friedrich Nietzsche already said that, in his 1888 Twilight of the Idols.
In her profile, she writes: “I am all about my music, and my music is all about me…It flows from what I’ve been through, what I’ve seen and how I feel. I live in New York and am on top of the world. Been here since 2004 and I love this city, I love my life here.” Okay…She appeared briefly in federal court on Monday as a witness in the Emperor’s Club V.I.P. prostitution ring case and has since been hanging out in her ninth-floor apartment in what’s described as “an upscale apartment building in the Flatiron district,” wondering how she’s going to pay the rent. Sounds great! Not. She told The Times: “I just don’t want to be thought of as a monster.” No, Nina Ashley Dupré Youmans DiPietro oh, never mind! We don’t think you’re a monster. We think Eliot Spitzer is a fool, and you need to get your act together.
