Rolling Stones Guitarist Ronnie Wood with Wife, Jo, at Daughter Leah's June Wedding, Just a Few Weeks Out of Rehab

Rolling Stone guitarist Ronnie Wood, 61, entered rehab today, apparently in an attempt to save his 23-year marriage to wife Jo Wood, 53. Mrs. Wood has said she’s ending their 23-year marriage following the rock guitarist’s most recent binge, which included drinking up to two bottles of vodka a day and a two-week tryst at his County Kildare, Ireland manse with a 19-year-old Russian cocktail waitress, Ekaterina Ivanova. Ivanova, originally from Kazakhstan, reportedly met Wood in April at a London escort club when he was in town attending the London premiere of Shine a Light, a documentary about the Rolling Stones. Since then, Ivanova’s been proclaiming her love for Wood on her Facebook page. Mrs. Wood, left home alone with the couples’ four children in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, was not amused.

Wood apparently promised to pay “Katia” about $600 USD a day for modeling. A nude portrait of Katia, entitled Photography Nude 11 is priced at about $16,000 in a Dublin art gallery, Gallery Number One, along with 59 other Wood paintings. The gallery is about 20 miles from Wood’s County Kildare home.

Ekaterina’s mother, Irina Ivanova, 48, who moved to Great Britain six years ago and who works as a housekeeper in London, had pleaded with her daughter to return home and had said of Wood: “What does he think he’s doing? He’s old enough to be her grandfather. He needs to send her back before things get out of control and either she gets hurt or his family do.” [sic] Now that Katia’s back in London and living with friends, her mother told The Daily Mail: “She loves him. She is so proud to be next to him. It’s not because of the money he has. [Oh, paleeeze.] It’s because of the personality he has.” She added: “’I don’t think they are completely over. But she will not do the running. She will not make the first step to meet him again. She does not need to go to rehab. She is not an alcoholic.”

Ronnie Wood’s alcohol and cocaine problems are longstanding. In 2000, Wood entered the Priory rehab facility but left after 10 days. In 2001, 2004 and 2006, he re-upped. Mostly recently, he emerged from rehab a few weeks before his daughter Leah’s June wedding. While the English rock guitarist is best known for his work with the Rolling Stones, he’s also been a member of Small Faces and The Jeff Beck Group.
