Check Your SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, with Website Grader

Have you ever wondered how well you’re doing with SEO (search engine optimization) of your website or WordPress blog? Are your efforts effective? Hubspot has an easy-to-use tool to give you a rough idea of how you’re faring, with a basic synopsis and useful tips that almost anyone can use.

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, Can Improve Your Google Page Rank and Internet Visibility

Go to Hubspot’s Website Grader, and enter your domain name and email address; you’ll quickly receive a free, handy explanation of your website or blog’s strengths and weaknesses. This is by far the be-all, end-all of SEO, but it does highlight in layman’s terms some of you site’s major strengths and weaknesses. For example, we typed in www.pajamadeen.com and our email address. Okay, so we had a score of 99.3. We certainly couldn’t complain. But with minimal time and a few more tweaks, we were able to jack that score up to 99.4. We noticed that Pajamadeen had just slipped under the two-year mark until the domain name expired. Google likes to see a time commitment of two years or more for domain registration. It’s believed that if you only register your domain name for the minimum one-year time frame, Google doesn’t view that as much of a commitment and that the odds are higher that you are perhaps a splogger (spam + blog = splogger). You know — here today, gone tomorrow. By upping the domain registration time period for Pajamadeen.com, I was able to bump my score up from 99.3 to 99.4 99.7.
