The dogs are happy – that is what is important. It does no harm except it looks strange. It looks fine to me. I would do it to my dog if he wasn’t black.

Shanghai sounds exciting! Good luck there! I’m sure your dog is relieved by your promise. Actually, I have a friend who read this post and has fallen in love with…the idea of…dyeing her dog. Poor Coco (sold white as of Saturday, no telling what she looks like now!).
