U.S. Soldiers Torment Dog in Green Zone

With some reservations and with a warning to our readers that this post isn’t for the squeamish, here are our “brave soldiers” in the Green Zone of Baghdad, one throwing stones at a crippled dog while another looks on. As the dog hobbles off in pain, one of the laughing soldiers says: “That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen!” The last thing we hear is:“You wanna go kill it?”
We hope someone recognizes these soldiers. This sickening disregard for life and the contempt with which they treat the animal only reinforces the world’s perception of America as the aggressor in the Iraq War. These soldiers are not fit for duty. These are our finest? Pretty shabby, if you ask us.
